Pre-requisites

  1. Complete a UofZ Associate Degree
  2. Submit UofZ Bachelor Degree application

Degree Requirements

  1. Attend 2 food knowledge classes or tastings (each 1 hour or longer)
  2. Develop and implement a project that:
    1. Has an identified internal customer
    2. Improves one or more of the 3 Bottom Lines
    3. Gets positive written feedbacak from customer
    4. Is related to Track
    5. Is approved by Managing Partner & Training Engineers
  3. Present your learnings and/or results of your project at a Seasonal Huddle or a Partners Group meeting
  4. Attend at least one Finance class beyond DOR 101 (i.e. Finance 101, Costing & Pricing, MOR Money)
  5. Attend at least one PG meeting
  6. Attend Train-the-Trainer
  7. Complete 1 of the 5 tracks listed to the right
  8. If degree is not completed in 12 months, the Training Engineers will encourage you to re-apply

TRACKS

REQUIREMENTS

FOOD

  • Pass a Food Mastery Test (proctored)
  • Attend one additional food knowledge class or tasting (1 hour or longer)
  • Get certified to teach one Food class and teaches at least 2 times during the year
  • Teach at least one session of the class on your own; turn in participant evaluations to Training Engineers

SERVICE

  • Pass the Service Mastery Test (proctored)
  • Attend one Service class beyond AGGS
  • Get certified to teach one Service class and teaches at least 2 times during the year

(check with Class Owner or Training Engineers to determine which classes need more trainers)

  • Teach at least one session of the class on your own; turn in participant evaluations to Training Engineers

FINANCE

  • Pass the Finance Mastery Test (proctored)
  • Attend one Finance class beyond DOR 101
  • Get certified to teach one Finance class and teaches at least 2 times during the year

(check with Class Owner or Training Engineers to determine which classes need more trainers)

  • Teach at least one session of the class on your own; turn in participant evaluations to Training Engineers

MANAGEMENT

  • Complete ZCoB Manager Orientation Core Passport
  • Attend one Management class beyond ZCoB Manager Core
  • Get certified to teach one Management class and teaches at least 2 times during the year

(check with Class Owner or Training Engineers to determine which classes need more trainers)

  • Teach at least one session of the class on your own; turn in participant evaluations to Training Engineers

SAFETY & SANITATION

  • Pass ServSafe certification test
  • Get certified to teach ZCoB Basic Food Safety class
  • Teach at least 2 sessions of the class on your own; turn in participant evaluations to Training Engineers
  • Lead at least one in-house health inspection for your business or department

You do not need to repeat any requirement completed within 24 months prior to being accepted into the UofZ. Please make sure to get any previously completed requirement signed off immediately upon receiving your UofZ passport.
