Pre-requisites:

  1. Complete ZCoB Orientation
  2. Submit UofZ Associate Degree application

Programs:
GENERAL STUDIES Associate Degree

  1. Pass Product, Service or Finance Mastery Test (see your Training Engineer/the Zingtranet for answer keys/tests)
  2. Pass Facts of ZCoB Life Test
  3. Attend AGGS class and passes test
  4. Attend Basic Food Safety class and pass test

FINANCE Associate Degree

  1. Attend Finance 101 class
  2. Attend M.O.R. Money (Personal Finance) class
  3. Attends 3 huddles besides your own department’s huddle –
    at least one huddle must be in a different business

COFFEE Associate Degree

  1. Taste and score coffee with a Certified Coffee Taster
  2. Tour Coffee Company
  3. Pass Coffee Mastery Test
    (see your Training Engineer/the Zingtranet for answer keys/tests)
  4. Attend Coffee 101 class

CERTIFIED TRAINER Associate Degree

  1. Attend Train-the-Trainer class
  2. Pass Bottom-Line Training test
  3. Complete one of three Certified Trainer tracks listed below:

Teach a ZCoB-wide Class

  • Get sign off from your managing partner
  • Take class as a participant
  • Meet with Certified Trainer to learn how to teach the class
  • Co-teach with Certified Trainer
  • Teach as the lead with Certified Trainer observing you
  • Teach at least one session of the class on your own; turn in participant evaluations to the Training Engineers

Create or Update an On-Shift Training Tool for your Dept

  • Pass 60 day expectations for department
  • Pilot/Update/Review On-Shift Training Tool with dept mgr
  • Conduct at least 2 sessions using training tool
  • Forward trainee evaluations to ZCoB Engineers

Create or Update a Training Class for your Dept

  • Pass 60 day expectations for department
  • Pilot/Update/Review a department-specific training class (i.e. Olive Oil 101, Table Service, Just Cash, etc.) with department manager
  • Conduct at least 2 training sessions
  • Forward participant evaluations to ZCoB Engineers

You do not need to repeat any requirement completed within 24 months prior to being accepted into the UofZ. Please make sure to get any previously completed requirement signed off immediately upon receiving your UofZ passport.
